Relaxation techniques that address relief for all of the muscles in the body are extremely beneficial. Your body has been so consistently tense that it believes that is the way it is supposed to feel. The exact opposite is true. Once your body becomes acclimated to being relaxed, it will tell you when to do something for it. This is part of the reason that developing habits for mindful stress management is important. It’s important to have systems in place to give your body the relief it requires before it tells you.
This exercise will teach you how to relax from head to toe. This technique requires you to use your imagination and visioning faculties. Flow with the sound of my voice and let your imagination do the work. Encourage your body to loosen and relax. You can be in a reclined or sitting position as you listen to this recording.
